R&SA charity coverRoyal & SunAlliance has announced the launch of an enhanced charity trustee cover, Charity Trustee Assurance. It provides cover against many of the principal liabilities that could be incurred by charities and their trustees.

Eckert ups stakeChief executive Neil Eckert has increased his stake in Brit Insurance Holdings by acquiring 50,000 shares in the company at 70.25p each. The purchase brings his total holding to 0.6% of the company.

Broker Network buyBroker Network Holdings has announced the acquisition of Norfolk and Suffolk Insurance Brokers. The deal is The Broker Network's ninth acquisition this year.

Willis acquisitionsWillis has finalised its acquisition of former Willis Commercial Network member CH Jeffries. The Cumbria broker has annual revenue of £2.5m. Willis has also acquired the business portfolio of Hong Kong broker The Grande Insurance Broker and finalised its acquisition of Irish broker Coyle Hamilton.

R&SA rating boostMoody's has lifted its outlook for the UK division of Royal & SunAlliance Group from negative to stable. It said the ratings action had been taken following the group's sale of its life insurance businesses to Resolution Life.

MMA appointmentIntermediary-only insurer MMA has announced the appointment of Paul Worsley as operations manager. Worsley joins MMA from Hill House Hammond where he was contact centre manager.

Bupa staff schemeHealthcare provider Bupa has launched an initiative to combat the costs of sick days. Bupa said the new scheme, 360º Health Risk Manage-ment, would provide a solution to getting sick employees back to work.
