Weightmans is striking out a quarter of all professional indemnity claims handled by its Liverpool office in 1999.
The law firm believes it is the first to monitor and analyse its professional indemnity performance in such a comprehensive manner. Nearly 25% were struck out, discontinued or abandoned altogether.
"Clients have every right to expect the accountability this research brings," said professional indemnity partner James Holman.
