Aggregator website, onlyinsurance.co.uk, has added Swiftcover to its panel.
It is the first direct writer to join the website which is set to be launched next month.
Managing director Andew Georgiou said the company is in advanced talks with other direct writers who want to join the site.
Onlyinsurance.co.uk currently has the support of a 28-strong insurer panel and the group has a turnover target of between £15m and £20m in its sights by the end of 2007.
“We aim to be among the cheapest and fastest within the online quote market, and by signing up the likes of Swiftcover as a direct writer we are well on our way to becoming a major force in the online quote revolution,” said Georgiou.
“Quite simply, we want to offer consumers the best deal on the market. We are not interested in being second best. And the more direct writers we sign up, the better ultimately the deal for consumers.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
