Current Australian head Russell Higginbotham to become head of client markets in UK & Ireland

Russell Higginbotham has been appointed as head of client markets for Swiss Re in the UK and Ireland.

He will take up the post in May 2010 when he returns from Swiss Re’s Australian operation which he has headed since 2006, subject to regulatory approval.

The position of head of client markets for Swiss Re Australia will be taken up by Mark Senkevics, who returns to Sydney from Korea where he led the company’s life and non-life businesses.

Bruce Hodkinson, who took over interim leadership in London in November 2009, will relocate to the company’s offices in Zurich to head Swiss Re’s business in Africa and the Middle East.
