Software provider Sword Insurance has appointed Philip Hodges as sales and marketing director.

Hodges will lead a UK-based sales and marketing team, joining Sword European division director Phil Race.

Race said: “Philip brings a wealth of IT experience relevant to the insurance market, and a customer focused approach to both technology and sales. He is the ideal fit for Sword Insurance and has exactly the skills we require to develop existing customer relationships and to forge new ones.”

Hodges was previously head of European Sales in SunGard’s insurance division, and was previously at TIG (The Innovation Group).

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
