It seemed the perfect start as the sun beamed down on the beautiful Castle Royle golf club in Reading at the inaugural TAH Financial Services golf day.
Unfortunately, the organisers had booked a conservatory for the pre-round presentation, the bright, sunny room rendering the slide show invisible.
After 20 minutes of imaginative presentation on a blank canvas featuring sound bites such as "where's the cursor" and "I hope this is clear", it was out to the course.
But then, nine holes into the round, the sun disappeared behind rain filled clouds. This would have provided a wonderful canopy for projected presentations - but, sadly, not golf.
Fortunately, Backchat's enjoyment of the 19th hole was not marred by rain or sun.
