Nick Chown, director of risk management for the Metropolitan Police Service, will be one of the key speakers at next month's joint Cila/Airmic conference on dealing with a major terrorist attack.

The seminar, Terrorism - how to prepare for and survive a CBRN event, brings together a number of leading anti-terrorist experts to give the industry an overview of how to practically deal with a major attack.

Chown and Superinten-dent Roger Kember, Metropolitan Police Service will provide an up-to-date briefing on the current terrorism threat and counter-terrorism measures.

Also Dominic Wilson of the Cabinet Office will explain the government's future contingency plans.
