Tesco Finance gives no explanation for Liverpool redlining
Tesco Finance has been accused of hypocrisy after refusing to insure Toxteth residents despite Tesco building a £30m supermarket nearby, according to the Metro.
Tesco Finance gave no explanation for refusing to insure motorists in the Liverpool L8 postcode.
Toxteth resident Alan Taylor said: "Tesco are happy to take our money over the tills, but they won't insure our cars."
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) said Tesco was "not obliged" to provide motor insurance for all drivers.
