THB Group, the UK-based broker group, has appointed a chief operating officer of Thompson Heath & Bond Limited, the Lloyd's broking division of the group.

The company said Jane Joslin will act as liaison between the Lloyd's broker board and the group management functions, and will seek to promote and enhance the relationship between THB and other group companies.

Frank Murphy, CEO of the Lloyd's broker said: “We are delighted that Jane has accepted this appointment not least because it reinforces the emphasis that THB places on regulation and compliance. It also illustrates how we are working in tandem with the Change Management Board to improve business process and efficiency.”

Mrs Joslin joined THB in August 2002 as group internal audit manager and was responsible for driving the FSA authorisation process for general insurance within all the group's companies.

She was appointed as a director of the Lloyd's broker in June 2004.
