Next year’s conference looks to focus on the needs and interests of the customer, ‘whoever that may be’

Biba has revealed that the theme for its 2014 conference will be ‘customer, customer, customer’.

Chief executive Steve White said: “If you look across the insurance industry and government, there is a strong focus on the customer, whether that is a consumer, business or broker.

“It is right that with this focus, we explore this very relevant topic at our conference, through our keynote speakers and seminars.

“Successful businesses have the customer at the heart of everything they do and by focusing on the needs and interests of the customer, whoever that may be, we can support our members in becoming more successful in what they do.”

Last year’s conference was attended by two serving government ministers, Sajid Javid and Mark Hoban, and 5,299 people, of which 3,198 were brokers.

The conference will be held at Manchester Central on 14 and 15 May. The conference and exhibition will be free to all members of Biba brokers, and the exhibition is free to all brokers.

The conference organiser, Lindsay Campbell, said: “We expect the 2014 conference to be another must attend event when it returns to Manchester Central, a venue that many of our attendees tell us they particularly enjoy.”
