How much does a parking space cost within a stone's throw of Lloyd's? Well, it seems £25,000 is the latest figure being quoted to chairman Sax Riley.
When Riley clears his Lloyd's desk later this year and moves over to the Nomura-backed Socif chairmanship, he will need a parking space for his limousine.
But the office, which is situated above M&S, does not come with car parking spaces. Hence the ridiculous price being quoted to Sax's new company which, it is rumoured, will run for only three years.
