Backchat went home this week, courtesy of insurer NIG. Its Heaven and Hell-themed Xmas party meant Backchat could catch up with some old flames and indulge in the excesses below ground.
Naturally Heaven was a little boring; the cocktails were too sweet and the light was too strong. Down in Hell, the cocktails were flaming, with welcome dark nooks and crannies.
Hell also boasted a dancefloor with seventies flashing squares. Guests were entertained by a display of salsa dancing from a Spanish senorita and what looked like her hairdresser. In fact, her male partner looked as though he had just stepped out of a TRESemmé advertisement.
As one onlooker observed: "So, do you think Hell will consist of 24 hours of Strictly Come Dancing?"
