Management: Chief executive Ian Passmore joined the Zurich-owned broker 30 years ago. He has probably seen better times at Endsleigh. According to its latest accounts, revealed in May, pre-tax profits fell from £15.4m in 2009 to £12.7m last year, while sales growth dropped to 6.6%.

Big story: Endsleigh is defending itself against Gibraltar-based insurer Southern Rock, which is accusing it of secretly pocketing referral fee income in the latest twist of their £15.5m court battle.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
