The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has been asked to keep its talks with the Policyholders' Protection Board (PPB) confidential.
Biba has met the PPB on a number of occasions since June to discuss issues pertaining to Independent Insurance's collapse.
However, the PPB will now only meet Biba if it agrees to keep its discussions confidential, including its meeting last week.
