Charles Stauber appointed VP and head of casualty claims; Alison Timson becomes assistant vice president for US casualty

Torus has appointed Charles Stauber as vice president and head of casualty claims, with immediate effect.

In addition, Alison Timson has been appointed as assistant vice president for US Casualty. Based in London she will develop and underwrite US business from UK brokers.

Stauber will oversee casualty claims in the US, supporting both Global Casualty and Global Specialty from Torus’ New Jersey office. He was most recently president and owner of Stauber Associates LLC, a risk management and consulting company specialising in property and casualty.

Timson has over ten years of commercial insurance experience, eight of which in Umbrella and Excess Casualty specialising in real estate, construction, energy, utilities and chemicals in both the London and US insurance markets. She joins Torus from Willis.

“Alison’s experience in both London and New York will also be invaluable, developing our relations with London-based brokers and clients interested in US casualty business who traditionally look to the London market for their needs.”
