Marina Moore switches to Torus to boost offshore energy offering

Torus has appointed Marina Moore as senior offshore construction underwriter.

Reporting to David Message, SVP global head of offshore energy, Moore will develop the team’s offshore construction business. She is based in Torus’ London office.

She joins from XL and brings over 30 years of London Market Offshore Construction experience to Torus, 25 of which were at Munich Re.

Message said: “Our expansion into this area seeks to provide increased flexibility for clients in a highly complex and technical area of the business.

"Marina is therefore a perfect fit for the team as her experience of offshore construction in both underwriting and broking capacities, as well as in Lloyd’s, means that she combines the broadest perspective on the sector’s issues with a specialist’s understanding of offshore construction.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
