Consolidator is first broker on seven-strong panel

Towergate Underwriting has joined become Countrywide's seventh strategic insurer partner.

The addition of Towergate to the Countrywide strategic insurer partner panel will increase the range of specialist and traditional insurance products available to the network’s 700 members.

Towergate Underwriting provides over 170 specialist insurance products as part of its Countrywide product suite. This includes Property Owners, Liability and Construction, Commercial, Household and Entertainment.

It a statement, Open GI said the partnership would allow Countrywide members to benefit from exclusively negotiated commission levels and gain access to a dedicated Countrywide team for assistance when placing risks, adding significant value to the overall proposition to members.

James McCaffrey, Sales Director – Underwriting, Towergate Partnership, said: “The partnership between Towergate and Countrywide not only increases the network’s offering to members, it enables us to expand our offering to the widest range of intermediaries.

“Towergate are committed to the broker market, and will be working closely with Countrywide to further develop the product offering to members, including access to Towergate’s Haulage Division via the Countrywide Fleet team.”

Countrywide strategic insurer partners are Allianz, AXA, Fortis, Groupama, MMA, Towergate and Zurich.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
