Towergate-owned network to roll out new products and services.

Countrywide, the network acquired by Towergate last year, has appointed Nick Haycock as managing director.

Countrywide, which is part of technology provider Open International, has over 700 members with access to products and services from a panel of eight strategic insurer partners, including RSA, Allianz, AXA and Equity.

Haycock previously held roles at the AA and was Commercial Director for Aon's Managed Services Division. More recently, he was European Business Development Director at The Resources Group.

He said: “I joined Countrywide as I felt it would provide me with a great challenge – to strengthen its overall position as the largest independent network the UK.

“There are a number of exciting developments in the pipeline to further improve the benefits our members receive, including additional broker schemes, Countrywide Clubs and a number of exclusive products and services only available to Countrywide members.

Haycock said that he planned to increase the number of Countrywide Business Consultants within the network, as well as improving service standards for members.

“Countrywide has a very distinct identity in the market and I am looking forward to raising its profile and driving the business forward,” he concluded.
