The UK is in danger from fractured groups of homegrown terrorists copying global jihadist ideas, according to Exclusive Analysis.

Kirsten Parker, director of analysis at the strategic intelligence provider, said that small-scale attacks are more likely to succeed: “Very ambitious plots will be interrupted but more small attacks will come to fruition”.

Exclusive Analysis rates the risk of a terrorist attack in the UK at 2.1 on its Risk Scale, representing an 'Elevated' danger. This is second only to Spain among Western European nations.
