Several Lloyd's underwriters have branded solicitors as fickle customers.
Broker PYV claimed that many Lloyd's underwriters are unhappy that solicitors change insurance providers quickly and for relatively small savings.
PYV group development director Nick Pointon said: "Solicitors are more likely to switch insurers than other professions, with many happy to change year on year, which makes insurers nervous.
"Solicitors' risk profiles can change dramatically from year to year, firms fall in and out of insurance companies' criteria and this is causing constant movement within the market.
"Some underwriters are becoming more sympathetic to changes in solicitors' profiles. However, they are also resigned to a constantly moving market."
