Scots council warns residents not to used uninsured cleaners
East Renfrewshire Council has warned local resident to avoid using unlicensed window cleaners for insurance reasons, the Paisley Daily Express reports.
Only 48 holders of council-issued licences have passed background checks and have had to show they hold public liability insurance of at least £5m. Licensed cleaners have a special ID card, dated and valid for three years.
