Lawrence Graham will stop handling bulk personal injury claims so that it can concentrate on its insurance and reinsurance work.
The Strand law firm's managing partner Bill Richards said the decision was made after evaluation of the demands of the insurance market.
A team of lawyers, headed by partners Elizabeth Carr and Stephen Phillips, will leave Lawrence Graham for Morgan Cole as a result of the decision.
"The firm's moving on and we'll now be focusing on consolidating and developing our current insurance and reinsurance business," Richards said.
"We all wish Elizabeth and Steve every success at Morgan Cole."
