Jelf buys West broker
Broker Jelf has acquired Plymouth-based Haines Wallace. The purchase will add £4.5m to Jelf's premium income. Jelf will retain Haines Wallace's 14 employees in its commercial insurance operation.

Higos acquires Sharp
Higos has purchased Berkshire-based motor broker Sharp Insurance. The acquisition will add £750,000 to Higos' total motor premiums. Sharp specialises in insurance for young drivers.
