Zurich is leaving the door open to more deals with managing general agencies (MGA), says sales and distribution director Darren Pacey.

Zurich is a capacity provider for Giles-owned Ink and last month tied up a similar deal with Oval’s new MGA.

Pacey said the Swiss insurer did not have a specific strategy of signing up to MGAs but was open to opportunities. “If they work for Zurich, we will explore them further.”

The company pulled out of network Westinsure in March, but Pacey said he had not ruled out working with its members. “If a broker wants a relationship, we will work with them on an individual basis.”

Meanwhile, NIG has been linked to the Oval MGA, joining Brit, Allianz and Zurich. Fortis, which last week launched an MGA with Kerry London, said that it was not involved.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
