Insurance watchdog GISC (the General Insurance Standards Council) has been included by Which? magazine in its February guide to some of the best financial websites.
The website, www.gisc.co.uk, was redesigned last year and now boasts 30,000 hits a day.
Consumers can use it to check what to expect from a GISC member, who its members are, and what to do if they have a complaint.
Head of Communications at GISC Catherine Nicoll said: "I am delighted that GISC's website has been selected by Which? as a good source of information about the role of GISC, and what our Code means for consumers."
GISC, with its membership of over 6,000 insurance brokers and all the major UK insurers, monitors and enforces standards in general insurance.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
