At least 50% of whiplash claims are not straightforward 'pure whiplash' claims, according to new benchmarking research from the Insurance Services Office (ISO).

The ISO has introduced a new Whiplash Benchmarking Service to address insurers' handling of whiplash claims to highlight training, processing and technology requirements, and changes in market behaviour

ISO's research shows whiplash claims are becoming more complicated and at least half of those claims are no longer 'pure whiplash' claims.
