Heath Lambert and Aon lose 17 property staff to Willis

Willis has poached property teams from both Aon and Heath Lambert, including Heath Lambert property portfolio managing director John Dilley.

Nine members of Heath Lambert's property division resigned on Friday.

A spokesman for the company said they included several support or secretarial staff. "We do not expect this to have a material affect on our business," he added.

Aon confirmed that five members of its London commercial property team resigned on Friday, from a team of 30.

"We are still in ongoing discussions with some, however replacements have already been identified for others," said the company. It stated its commitment to continued growth in the property sector.

According to sources, final numbers joining Willis will be eleven from Heath Lambert and six from Aon.

Heath Lambert said Dilley's resignation had accelerated its plans to reorganise its property portfolio. It has rolled out its property division as a national offering.

Tom Ernoult has been appointed as managing director, with David Rudman heading operations in the North, Mark Slater in charge of the Midlands, and Steve Maggs leading the southern property portfolio team. Paul Welling remains chairman of the division.

Willis was not available for comment at the time of going to press.
