Willis has refused to co-operate with investigations into its business practices, a US attorney general alleged yesterday.

Minnesota attorney general Mike Hatch is seeking to force the company to co-operate through a state court filing, reports said on Tuesday.

The attorney general accused the company of failing to “provide anything other than a lacklustre response” and said it had “withheld the vast majority of documents sought by the state".

In response Willis said it was “co-operating” and would meet the attorney general's office to “resolve the issues at hand".
