The world's third largest broker Willis has reported record revenue and operating earnings growth for the year ending 31 December 2001.

Organic revenue growth for the year was 12% compared to 8% in the same period the year before.

Operating cash earnings for year end 31 December 2001 were $147m, up 172% compared to the same period in 2000.

Joe Plumeri said: "Our significant earnings, strong cash flow and proceeds from the initial public offering have allowed us to reduce our long-term debt and preference shares by more than $400m, which yields and annual tax
saving of more than $30m."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
