Select & Protect has given policyholders an automatic 10% increase in insurance cover this Christmas.
The company predicts that each household spends around £600 on Christams presents, which are stored in the home till the big day.
The company said the likelihood of being burgled also increased in the winter months.
Select & Protect senior marketing manager Scott Flynn said: “Christmas is all about celebrating but is an increasingly expensive time.
“The inclusion of this cover in our policies ensures that our policyholders can enjoy the festivities with the peace of mind that should their gifts be stolen, they are covered.”
