The Yachtsure millennium North Sea Race from Greenwich to Scheveningen, Holland, organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club in association with Lloyd's Yacht Club is to take place next month.

The event, starting on June 2, is being held to celebrate The Royal Ocean Racing Club's 75th anniversary.

It is sponsored by Yachtsure, a yacht insurer at Lloyd's and an associate company of US insurance and financial services group, Alleghany Underwriting.

The 180-mile race starts on the Greenwich meridian line. The race will be fiercely contested by Dutch and UK competitors.

Yachtsure is also sponsoring the Lutine Trophy race to Holland in August which is organsised by RORC and Lloyd's.
