Zenith's household book will join its motor business in Gibraltar, according to market sources.

A Zenith spokeswoman said it was "something we would consider in the future".

It is understood the insurer is considering putting the 2002 Syndicate into run-off.

Last year, Zenith announced its motor book would be underwritten through its Gibraltar subsidiary Zenith Insurance as of 1 February. The intention was to grow premium to £135m by 2004.

Zenith homeowner underwriter Jonathan Powell said the household book was gaining popularity. He said Zenith Home would go full cycle EDI with Misys next month.

A Zenith spokeswoman said Misys had started sending its latest rates to brokers who would get full functionality to access Zenith Home. She said developments with Sirius would follow.
