Insurer boss insists commercial book is safe from rivals

NIG managing director Jon Greenwood has dismissed talk of rivals pouncing on its commercial book.

In this week's issue of Insurance Times, he says that retention rates held up well last year.

The denial comes as rival insurers, which are scrapping over renewals from NIG’s former personal lines book (placed into run-off last year), also ask brokers to switch over parts of their NIG commercial lines book.
