Broker Network has hired former Canopius UK specialty chief executive Tim Rolfe as chief product and underwriting officer.
Rolfe will take up the newly created role on 1 May, subject to regulatory approval.
It emerged in February that Rolfe was leaving Lloyd’s insurer Canopius, which he joined in 2011. Before joining Canopius, Rolfe was chief executive of managing general agency UK General.
In his new role at Broker Network, Rolfe will lead product strategy by developing insurer relationships and the network’s MGA proposition.
Rolfe’s appointment closely follows Towergate’s sale of 80.1% of Broker Network to private equity house Highbridge.
