Lyons was on leave amid ‘contractual issues’

Sarah Lyons

Giles Insurance Brokers managing director Sarah Lyons has left ‘to pursue other interests’ according to a statement from new chief executive Brendan McManus.

Giles said last month that Lyons was on leave “while the company and Sarah address certain contractual issues.” At the time the broker made no further comment about Lyons’s future at the firm.

McManus, who took the helm of Giles last Friday, said in the statement: “Sarah has left the business by mutual consent to pursue other interests. We would like to thank Sarah for her hard work and contribution over the last few years and wish her well for the future.”

Lyons was appointed managing director of Giles in March 2010 following a management shake-up and the departure of retail managing director Howard Pearson.

Lyons joined Giles in 2007 and was group operations director before her promotion to managing director.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
