Wood had been head of the unit for three years
The Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) has confirmed Angie Rogers will replace Dave Wood as head of the division.
Wood has been head of the unit for three years.
IFED said: “Since the unit’s inception in January 2012, IFED has investigated tens of millions of pounds’ worth of bogus insurance claims and dealt with more than a 1,000 suspects, seizing more than £250,000 from convicted fraudsters.
“The success of the unit has lead to increased investment, enabling the City of London Police to recruit additional detectives during 2015. This will give us the resources to improve on an already impressive record of success.”
