Hampshire–based Intelligent Insurer will sell policies through aggregators, direct online sales and a UK contact centre
The founders of over-50s broker RIAS have launched a new home insurance broker offering cover for standard and non-standard risks.
Intelligent Insurance is led by David Holden, Donna Swift and Philip Davies, who also founded Insure4Retirement.
The Hampshire–based firm will sell its policies through aggregators, direct online sales and a UK contact centre.
The broker wants to place more than £50m in annual written premiums within five years.
Managing director Holden said: “Thousands of householders find it difficult to obtain home insurance due to unfortunate past events and circumstances, or because their property type or area in which they live are traditionally more difficult to insure.
“Our aim is to treat our customers as individuals, understand their insurance needs and circumstances and to obtain highly competitive insurance to provide the protection they want.
“We are building a panel of insurers that will give us the ability to provide immediate cover, whether the requirements are straightforward or complicated, and are keen to talk to insurers who believe they can add further strength to our panel.”
