History: RFIB was formed in 1980 and is a specialist international insurance and reinsurance broker. Approximately three quarters of its activity is wholesale or reinsurance, and the remaining quarter retail. Its clients consist of a range of international companies, insurance and reinsurance groups, in addition to a number of Lloyd's syndicates. RFIB also acts as wholesale broker and consultant to direct and reinsurance brokers worldwide.

RFIB formally changed its name from Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers to RFIB Group Ltd on 31st March 2004. RFIB has a large geographical spread, covering areas such as North America, Japan, The Middle East, Southern Africa, Latin/South America as well as closer to home in Europe and Scandinavia. In 2004, RFIB Group achieved a listing in The Sunday Times Profit Track 100, a league table that ranks Britain's 100 fastest-growing medium sized unquoted companies by profit growth.
