Exit
Ecclesiastical Insurance announced it will pull out of the wedding insurance market at the end of this month. It leaves after 10 years in the market to focus on its core business area.

Expansion
Autonet Insurance expanded commercial product lines with the introduction of shops and commercial let insurance. This will sit alongside pre-existing offers of public and employer’s liability, goods in transit, fleet and motor trade insurance.

Deal
QBE European Operatives appointed Autoglass as its supplier for its core glass services in a two-year deal. Autoglass already has deals with Aviva, Comfort Insurance, Co-Operative Insurance, Esure and Ageas.

Retirement
Congregational & General Insurance chairman David Collet has retired, and will be replaced by non-executive director Harry Driver.

Launch
Indemnity Risk Solutions (IRS) announced it will be offering solicitors’ professional indemnity insurance policies for a two-year indemnity period. IRS is targeting £25m of business written for the 2012 period.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
