Insurance Holdings Ltd (IHL), the holding company of Carroll & Partners, Breeze Underwriting, Carroll London Markets, and Carroll (UK)sold a “significant shareholding” to Australian broker PSC Insurance Group. Mike Eagles will join Noel Lenihan as joint managing director of IHL. 

Reshuffle
Hiscox made a trio of senior management changes, with Penny Shaw joining from ACE as chief risk officer, succeeding Bob Thaker. He is now head of UK claims and has succeeded Joanne Musselle, who becomes chief underwriting officer for Hiscox UK.

Fraud
The Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department and Derbyshire Police arrested a man and his wife, aged 43 and 42, and a second man, aged 41, in Derby and Burton on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and money laundering.

AXA commercial and personal intermediary boss Amanda Blanc was elected as the Chartered Insurance Institute’s 116th president, replacing Lockton chief executive Julian James.
