United Insurance Brokers Holdings UK (UIB) is a private company. In the UK, UIB has a single base - its head office in London. Internationally, the company has numerous offices. UIB is also a member of the International Insurance Brokers Association Network, represented in over 100 countries.

MAIN LINES OF BUSINESS

Predominantly commercial non-life insurance and reinsurance broking. Particular strengths include aviation and space, construction and constructors' liability, marine hull and liability, cargo and P&I, on-shore and off-shore energy, oil refineries and gas installations, products liability, professional indemnity and political risks. Reinsurance ranging from primary protections through excess layers to proportional treaties and retrocession.

CHIEF OFFICER BIOGRAPHY

David Trezies has a distinguished career in insurance broking. After a successful career as an aviation specialist, he became chairman and chief executive of Sedgwick. Following the merger with Marsh McLennan in 1998, he was appointed to the Marsh Inc Board and became chairman of Marsh in the UK until his retirement in 2002.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
