HISTORY
Bell & Clements was formed by John Clements and Reg Bell. Both were with Jardine Glanville, leaving to set up a Lloyd's business under the Benfield umbrella.
The company has grown organically with no acquisitions. It has a joint venture in Birmingham, Three Lions Underwriting, and two US operations - an office in Reston, Virginia, and a joint venture, Bell & Clements Inc in Cincinnatti.The company is structured into five divisions: US; international; UK; reinsurance; and Bell & Clements Underwriting Managers.
