The sport of kings has come to Lloyd's, well Leadenhall market to be precise. This week the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club ladies' team swung their mallets and paraded their "stunning steeds" around the Victorian cobbles on Lloyd's doorstep.
But why I hear you ask? Team building, dear boy, team building. Staff development company The TeamWorks says polo is the ideal way to help hard working brokers and underwriters bond. Perhaps the Lloyd's executive team, under fledgling chief executive Richard Ward, should enjoy a chukka or two to get to know each other.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
