Chris U'dell takes on new role

U'dell joins the Sheffield-based company from American firm Assurant, where he worked for 14 years in various senior managerial roles in sales and business development.

In his new role, U'dell will be responsible for building on the success of AA Warranty, as well as driving the company’s growth strategy through current and new markets.

U'dell, 50, said: "I am delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting moment in its history. This role will give me scope to indulge in my passion, which is introducing new solutions and models that make a real difference to a company’s profitability, and I’m hugely looking forward to the challenge."

AA Warranty, which is part of the Motorway Direct group of companies, is a leading provider of mechanical breakdown insurance, GAP insurance and a full range of warranty products for the public and commercial market.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
