Insurer will target brokers in South West.
ABC Insurance, part of LV= Group, has opened its seventh regional office in Bournemouth, Dorset.
The office will target brokers in the South West from Lyme Regis to Portsmouth, including Southampton and Salisbury. It will underwrite commercial combined insurance.
The opening continues the company’s strategy of expanding the commercial package business.
The Bournemouth branch will enable ABC Insurance to strengthen its operations within the region to a core panel of brokers in the South West.
Tim Griffiths, former strategic risk manager at NIG, has been appointed branch manager of the Bournemouth office.
He will lead a team including senior underwriters Robin Beard and Ronnie Anderton. Beard has joined from NIG and Anderton was formerly at Allianz Cornhill.
Mike Allison has also joined from NIG and has been appointed regional sales executive.
The Bournemouth office joins ABC’s branch network operation, which currently operates in Croydon, Bristol, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Maidstone.
Mike Crane, head of broker network at ABC Insurance, said: “We are delighted to be adding a seventh branch to our network. This is our fourth opening of the year and the new team will bring a wealth of knowledge to ABC and strengthen our presence in the South West marketplace.”
