Regional accident and health chief promoted to head insurer's global health operation

Ace has promoted Edward Levin, currently regional vice president, accident and health, Ace Europe, to vice president, international accident and health

In addition, Andy Hollenberg, currently vice president, ,accident and health, Ace Far East, has been named senior vice president, accident and health, Ace Europe.

A successor to Hollenberg in Japan will be named in the near future.

In his new role Levin will report to Ed Clancy, president and chief operating officer, Ace Overseas General.

Levin will remain in London and assist in Hollenberg’s transition to Europe.

Clancy said: “We are pleased to be able to rely on Ed and Andy to assume greater responsibilities.

“Our ability to look to our current management staff and to promote from within is an indication of the strength of our organisation.”

Hollenberg assumed his current role as head of Ace’s accident and health business in Japan in May 2003. He joined Ace in 2000 as head of the accident and health business in Canada.
