Matthew Shaw handed promotion within ACE Global Market

ACE UK has appointed Matthew Shaw as president, ACE Global Markets (AGM) and active underwriter for Syndicate 2488.

In addition, subject to Lloyd’s and FSA approval, Shaw is also appointed a member of the board for both ACE European Group and ACE Underwriting Agencies.

In his new role, Shaw will continue to report to Richard Pryce as president ACE UK.

Pryce said: “Since Matthew Shaw assumed the role of chief underwriting officer for AGM in July 2008, he has made a significant contribution to the development of this business.

"I am confident that he, along with the AGM product line heads, will continue to profitably develop the business and maintain its market leading position.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
