Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Well, when the scary animal is the Post Office the answer is one of the big broker groups.

Backchat hears that following the launch of the Post Office's motor insurance offering through Budget's affinity arm Junction, an email circulated around the broker group in question saying they may as well pack up and go home. Whether this is because of the Post Office's boast it can cut £140 off average premiums or its success in selling stamps, who knows. But it doesn't really add much to the spirit of competition, does it?
