Devine to pick team to help him in new role

Ageas has created a special role for former Kwik-Fit Financial Services chief executive Brendan Devine to help pursue its plans for retail growth.

Devine becomes retail commercial director, responsible for retail commercial development and for supporting and managing Ageas UK’s retail insurer, aggregator and affinity partner relationships.

Devine said he expected to pick a support team of four, probably internally. The roles would include a director in aggregator relationships and products, a director of pricing, a director of partnerships and a director of insurance solutions.

Devine is replaced as managing director of Kwik-Fit Financial Services by June Lynch, who was formerly chief operating officer. Ageas bought Kwik-Fit for £215m at the end of last year.

Jason Banwell will step up to the managing director role at Ageas Insurance Solutions, having previously been finance and operations director at its Stoke-on-Trent site.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
