AIG Europe (UK) has announced a new product called Lifeline Plus which, it claims, provides the most comprehensive cover and valuable additional services available in the UK market today.

AIG Europe said it has made major improvements in more than 30 key areas of its policy.

One of these improvements is the removal of war exclusion. This includes an attack on UK mainland thereby removing any ambiguity between war and terrorism.

The company said the other improvements include increasing the age limit on policies from 75 to 80 and providing unlimited medical expenses if an individual is taken ill or hurt whilst travelling.

Brian Reilly, senior vice president, Accident & Health, AIG Europe, said: "We have taken a hard look at the market and concluded that it really is time for a change.

"In the past, far too many exclusions and restrictions have been placed on Personal Accident and Business Travel policies, which hampers the way businesses, want to work today."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
